Hello, Helena.
We met each other last week. (18 july) We (Dutch tourists)
were looking for a Rendeer farm .
You introdiced us in the Sami history and we went tot
the woods to look for the Tipi. It was a lovely walk
and we have seen lots of Trolls. Unfortunalaty we didn't
see the tipi. (the path was very wet and we missed somewere
the signs for the right route.)We want to let you know,
but you were not at home at the time.
So I told your daughter :" I'll send a mail."
Here it is !
Thank you for learning us to catch a rendeer with a
lasso and your advice and the meat you sold us.
It was delicious.

Tak for det interessante foredrag på Grövelsjön
turisthotel og den snak vi havde i Renbiten.
Vi har spist det tørrede renkød, hakkede
det i små tern og kom det på en avokado
- det var bra!
Det røkte kød har vi endnu ikke smagt.
Det kunne være vældig spændende at
se hvordan kalvmærkningen foregår engang,
kanske jeg kunne lave et bildspel til skolen. Jeg mener
det var i maj måned? Men jeg kan nok ikke få
tid på skolen før maj 2008. Men jeg frågor
Peter når tiden nærmer sig om han vil have
en dansk turist som åskåder (hedder det
sådan).
Vi ønsker jer alt godt fremover.

They have send me a postcard on which they wrote that
they will never forget the day with you (and they love
you dogs). Now I am even more jealous and when I have
the opportunity I will certainly come to visit you,

Dear, Helena,
We (family from Holland) were at your museum and shop
at 22 of July and bought some meat.
Well, it was the best meat I ever tasted (honestly).
We managed to keep the meat (steak and smoked meat)
frozen for a few days. Then we marinated (is this the
right word) the steak in red wine and herbes marinade
and baked it (we had no barbeque). It was delicious
and very juicy.
When we were at home (in Holland) we ate the smoked
meat with sour cream and red union as you suggested.
Also very nice.
It is a pity we cannot buy it in Holland.

Dear Helena,
I am not sure if you remember us: We bought Suovas and
sausage and reindeer meat at your house in the first
days of august. You said you would be interested to
know how long the products last when transported in
a car without cooling.
Here is the answer: They last indefinitely, even in
the hot car, when exposed to air and NOT BEING COVERED
BY PLASTIC. We brought them home after two more weeks'
travelling (dry meat, sausage, suovas) without any problem,
they were still good, just a bit drier. The only piece
(one piece of suovas) that was covered in plastic for
a day was not good any more. We remember the fine summer
days in the Samer country and look forward to returning
there in one of the next years.

Hej!
Vi var en kvartett från södra Sverige på skidsemester i Grövelsjön. På torsdagen var vi inne på Renbiten och köpte rökt renkött. Ditt förslag var att laga till Souvas och det gjorde vi. Det var alldeles utmärkt gott. Alla gillade det. Tack för bra tips och trevligt bemötande! Lycka till med din nya butik!

Hej
Vill tacka för ett mycket trevligt och informativt föredrag om samernas
vardag på STF Grövelsjön vecka 10. Och så underbart gott renkött vi köpte
i fredags i Er affär.
Nu söndag kväll har vi njutit av rensteken som var så jättegod.
